TFY MOVERS & SHAKERS

Now more than ever, our world needs a generation of change-makers. For two weeks this summer, we are bringing those youth together to ignite that change in them. As a married couple or single adult, come lead the pack.


A TFY Counselor Couple:

  • Exemplifies strong moral character and deep devotion to the Gospel of Jesus Christ

  • Holds current temple recommends

  • Demonstrates the mental & physical health necessary to responsibly lead 15 youth for two weeks of traveling

  • Enjoys connecting with and mentoring youth ages 15-19

  • Acts with exceptional dependability and personal integrity

  • Maintains a positive attitude especially under pressure

  • Displays excellent formal and informal teaching skills

  • Loves people, cultures, and new adventures

  • Has travel experience outside of the United States

  • Is able to attend in person a mandatory two-day training on May 1-2, 2020

Couple Responsibilities:

  • Protect and maintain the highest standards of youth safety & well-being

  • Assume responsibility for all on-the-ground logistics and communication within the host country

  • Manage trip budget and funds

  • Maintain active and timely communication with TFY Office

  • Follow the scheduled itinerary and communicate expectations

  • Handle disciplinary situations with firmness, understanding, and love

  • Bear testimony of Jesus Christ and teach His Gospel through nightly devotionals

  • Build personal relationships with youth, counselors, and locals

  • Be an example to the youth of courage, gratitude, and empathy

  • Love the youth like crazy and help them have an unforgettable experience

Counselor Responsibilities:

  • Support and fulfill assignments from Country Directors

  • Maintain an atmosphere of inclusion and camaraderie among the group

  • Assist in following the itinerary and communicating expectations

  • Bear testimony of Jesus Christ and teach His Gospel through nightly devotionals

  • Build personal relationships with youth and locals
